AUTARKEIA to Organise Three Powerful Concerts this Autumn.

This autumn, the fans of extraordinary entertainment and powerful music will have no time for melancholy. The independent organisation AUTARKEIA invites them to its three events, including two international festivals - NORDIC AUDIO MODERN and ICETODIRON - known both in Lithuania and abroad. Earlier, these biannual festivals used to make a certain concert cycle organised by AUTARKEIA, however, this autumn they both will follow each other.

AUDIO MODERN 2007 DE (Germany), the fifth international festival of industrial/ambient music will take place in NEW STYLE Club, at Rinktinės St. 1 (ex Sports Hall), Vilnius, on Saturday, 13 October. The main idea of the festival is to introduce the German scene of dark electronics, which is known as one of the most powerful and influential scenes worldwide, to the audience. Six projects will represent the German scene. The introduction of GENOCIDE ORGAN, ANENZEPHALIA and OPERATION CLEANSWEEP is really unnecessary for the industrial music fans. The first two are not only deemed the pioneers of the German power electronics, but also the cult performers of industrial music that can be compared to WHITEHOUSE, BRIGHTER DEATH NOW, CON-DOM and THE GREY WOLVES. The music of GO, ANENZEPHALIA and OPERATION CLEANSWEEP is generally considered very controversial. Deeply-thought project concept concerns and reveals, in unexpected light, certain historical processes, exposes violence and propaganda, therefore, for some the work of the Germans seems threatening. The other two projects - LAND:FIRE and THO-SO-AA – are also well-known to the fans of dark ambient. Meanwhile, although rather new in the industrial subculture, DOGPOP will present angstpop, the style that is still unknown in Lithuania and merges the old cold minimalist wave and electro styles. Guests from Australia, England, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Belarus and Latvia are expected to attend NORDIC AUDIO MODERN 2007 DE festival, which shows the scope of the event.

ICETODIRON 2007 TE (third edition) festival, organised already the third time this year, will be held in the same NEW STYLE Club, on 01 December (Saturday). As usual, the fiesta of ice, death and iron is dominated by the Scandinavians. Only offspring of Vikings from Sweden and Denmark, some of which will visit Lithuania for the second time already, will gather together on the first winter day. A joint set will be presented on the stage by the famous worldwide post-mortem Swedish hooligans ALFARMANIA and PROIEKT HAT. The audience will also hear and see the Swedish power electronics pioneer marginal BLOOD OV THEE CHRIST known for his varicoloured biography and adventures. Erik Jarl, one of the most interesting Swedish performers with the namesake project JARL, will play very dark drone music. Then will follow SEPHIROTH, the star of Cold Meat Industry label, whose cold ambient currents and vehement tribal rhythms should be a pleasant experience for romantics. The powerful Swedish project NEGRU VODA does not need the introduction to the Lithuanian audience since the project founder Peter Nystrom has already performed on the Lithuanian stage with the latter project as well as with the cult project MEGAPTERA.

The third event taking place in-between the two festivals deserves an exceptional attention. On 26 October (Friday), AUTARKEIA organises a very intriguing concert and party of neo-cabaret, martial and neo-folk music. The special guest of this event will be Boyd Rice from the USA, the cult persona of the global anticulture. Refusing concerts in Moscow, Paris and Brussels, this unpredictable personality has chosen Vilnius, Zagreb and London. The Italian neo-cabaret star Tairy Ceron and his inimitable black lounge project AIT! will also play in the concert, and so will less-known American LUFTWAFFE remarkably merging neo-folk and martial. The concert will also be held in the same NEW STYLE Club. Obviously, this autumn will really be momentous for industrial music lovers, so see you all in the Club that according to the renown Jewish scholars is build on the Semitic cemetery.
